Description

Tangy, Sweet, and Healthy Amla Candy

Indulge in the tangy and sour goodness of NIKKIT’s Amla Candy, a traditional murabba crafted from our mother’s cherished recipe in the village. This homemade, sun-dried candy is perfect for first-time users, offering a delightful blend of flavors that are both sweet and healthy.

Ingredients: A Blend of Health and Taste

– Amla (Indian Gooseberry)

– Coriander Powder

– Sugar

– Pepper

– Black Salt

– Salt

Our Amla Candy is made using the typical village method, where Amlas murabba is made with traditional method. Once Amla Murabba is ready its seeds are removed and cut into small pieces , these pieces are sundried.

This preserves the natural goodness of Indian gooseberries, blended with goodness.

Preservation Tips

To keep your Amla Candy fresh and flavorful, store it in a cool, dry place. Always use a fresh, dry spoon to take it out, ensuring its longevity and taste.

Recipe: How We Make Amla Ka Candy

Our Amla Candy recipe stays true to traditional Indian methods passed down through generations:

1. Wash and dry the Amla (gooseberries). Place them in a saucepan and cover them with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes until the Amla is tender. Drain and cool slightly. Separate the Amla into segments and set aside.

2. Prepare the sugar syrup. Combine sugar and water in a thick-bottomed kadai and stir to dissolve.

3. Boil for 10 to 15 minutes until it forms a one-string consistency. When lifting the spoon from the syrup, the last drop should form an elongated string.

4. Add the Amla segments and mix well.

5. Continue boiling for 15 to 20 minutes until the mixture thickens and becomes gooey, reaching a three-string consistency.

6. Add cardamom, black salt, and pepper powder. Mix well.

7. Switch off the flame and let it cool overnight.

8. The next day, remove seeds from murabba and cut into pieces. Keep it for sun dry after which the color will intensify.

9. Store the Amla Candy in glass jars or Martabaans, preserving its authentic flavor and goodness.
